Dane is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City. His work for Snapple, in the mid-90s, paved the way for an interesting career as a working illustrator—known for his humor and charmingly stylized illustrations for the advertising, magazine, and book publishing industry.

Dane’s publishing credits include The Big Book of Illustration Ideas, Self-published titles by Printed Matter in addition to the mini-book adaptation of John S. Hall’s “Detachable Penis.” Animation for The Making of Paranoid Park; Felix Andrew / Gus Van Sant / MK2 Editions.
